Salmon Fishing in the Yemen Movie Synopsis

Stuffy government fisheries scientist Fred Jones (Ewan McGregor) is convinced by a fishing-obsessed Arab Sheik to the impossible—introduce British salmon to the wadis of the Yemen. The Sheik believes fishing brings him closer to God and he's hoping it will have the same effect on his people.

Meanwhile, Fred finds himself falling for the Sheik's beautiful legal representative Harriet (Emily Blunt). So he rises to the Sheik's challenge, casting off his English reserve on a transformative journey of self-discovery and love.
