That Woman

Just before the eighth anniversary of the accidental death of her small son, policewoman Michèle Varin is on the verge of a deep depression, aggravated by bouts of insomnia. She and her partner, Sylvain Bazinsky, are put on the case of the suspected suicide of an unknown, found hanging in a forest.

As she searches for the victim's identity, Michèle is haunted by terrifying nightmares in which she is attacked by a mysterious individual dressed in black. Even after the victim is identified, the two officers have difficulty figuring out the circumstances surrounding the death.

But when Sylvain is also found dead, the victim of an apparent suicide, this new tragedy provides Michèle with the last pieces of the puzzle.
