The Flintstones In Viva Rock Vegas Movie Synopsis
Once again the popular stone age families are coming to the big screen. This time the story
takes a step further back in time when Fred Flintstone (Addy) and his best friend Barney
Rubble (Baldwin) are on top of the world, having just graduated from Bronto Crane Academy
and secured jobs at the rock quarry in Bedrock.
Wilma Slaghoople (Johnston), on the other hand, is not. The beautiful young heiress and
daughter to Colonel and Pearl Slaghoople, has her life mapped out for her, including a
marriage to the suave and debonair Chip Rockefeller. Although he drives a Cadirock and
he was first in his class at Princestone, Wilma finds him an absolute bore. Having
little choice, she decides to run away from home.
In Bedrock, Wilma meets Betty O'Shale (Krakowski), and the two become fast friends,
residing at Melrock Place and working at the local Bronto King. Following a disastrous
first date, Fred ends up falling head over heels in love with Wilma, while Barney and
Betty become inseparable.
After leaving his puppy Dino behind, Fred and Barney whisk the girls away for a romantic
weekend in Rock Vegas. But Chip has other plans in mind, and with the help of Roxie, a
Rock Vegas showgirl, Rockefeller devises a plan to get Fred out of the picture once and
for all, leaving Wilma and her families fortune easy pickings.
