Sergeant Gerry Boyle (Brendan Gleeson) is a small-town Irish cop with a confrontational personality and a subversive sense of humor. He has absolutely no interest whatsoever in the international cocaine-smuggling ring that brings straight-laced FBI agent Wendell Everett (Don Cheadle) to his door.
i really liked this movie. it is a dark comedy so it is not for everyone, but it is worth just for brendon gleason's performance.
best movie i've seen in a long time, anyone who says otherwise is the reason modern films are so god awful, the simple minded unfortunately also happen to be the majority.
witty, entertaining, very irish. great fan of gleeson in the gurad, reminds me a little of 'the general' from 1998
