The Road Home Movie Synopsis
When his father dies, a city business man must return to his home village to attend the
funeral. His aging mother demands that the ancient burial customs be observed, and so
more than 100 of the father's pupils come to carry the coffin. Before returning to the
city, the son grants the one wish of his dying father, to spend a day teaching in the
village school.
I am not sure but that I just had the most magical viewing experience of my life. I am not Chinese (Caucasian), but the core decency, values, love, and faithfulness will resonate with every sincere heart... I think the real reason this movie works so powerfully on the heart, is its guileless simplicity. Truly a thing of beauty - don't miss it!
It`s such simple movie but has wonderful values of life. The story is very simple.... but how to describe the story Zhang Yimou succesfull. 4 thumbs up !!!
