Till Human Voices Wake Us Movie Synopsis
There comes a time in life when the mysteries of the past begin to haunt the present. That time has come for Sam Frank (Pearce), an Australian psychiatrist who finds himself drawn to a spell-binding woman named Ruby (Bonham Carter), whom he meets on a train. In a strange accident on a stormy night, Ruby loses her memory and all traces of her identity. Who is she? Why did she travel to Sam’s old home- town? What does she want? As Sam and Ruby search for the answers, they wake long forgotten desires, deeply buried fears and the lingering memory of a tragic event that was never resolved. Now, the secrets they have harbored are revealed and the feelings from which they have run are finally set free as a supernatural romance overtakes them and allows Sam to dare -- where once, long ago, he hesitated.
I know I recently could not give a definite answer for this film....because it just ended and I was still haunted by it`s aftermath....... It is, to me, a very provocative movie.... in the which I would have to give it a nine out of a ten ( and that only being because of my inadaquency to fully agree and understand why it couldn`t end in the way that would make me feel better..... )
As sweet and as delicate this movie is..... and how it arouses those yearnings for love and " a love " like it.... and as it kept my hope on the edge of my seat.... It still left me kind of depressed......... I want to rate it high but........................................................
