Ryan (Elijah Wood) is a struggling lawyer who forms a close bond with his neighbour's dog, Wilfred. The only problem is while everyone else sees a dog, Ryan sees a foul-mouthed, bong-smoking, beer-drinking grown man in a dog suit.
