Organization SHAC7 was made known when they loudly denounced the practices of the Huntingdon Life Sciences medical laboratory, which tests its products on animals.
Their radical methods of denunciation, even of intimidation, drew the attention of the FBI. In 2005, the federal agency declared that, on American soil, these animal rights defenders constituted a terrorist threat. Since then, small organizations dedicated to the same cause tread carefully. In 2006 the figureheads of SHAC7 had to answer for their acts in front of a court of the State of the New Jersey.
