Zaman, l'homme des roseaux

In a swampy region south of Iraq, Zaman, an old peasant, lives a house made of reeds with his wife, Najma, and their son, Yacine. Najma begins to feel pain in her stomach and consults the only doctor in the region. When she refuses to go to the hospital, the doctor advises Zaman to get a rare drug to cure her sickness.

Leaving Najma to be taken care of by Yacine and a neighbor, Zaman starts a long trek through Iraq to find the drug.
