This one is on my list! I’ll either buy it later tonight or tomorrow.

I saw it at the theatre when it came out Nancy. I wouldn’t have recommended it at the time. At best I think it is a rental. Unless you are a huge Cusack fan. I found it long and hard to sympathize with the main characters. Although the special effects were pretty good technically, they were laughable in the context of reality. But who goes to a movie like this for realism?

If you are just interested in action, you might like it. But be prepared to use the fast forward button to get to the action scenes. I’d like to hear what you think of it.

Thanks. I went to Walmart and bought it last night. Plan to watch it this weekend.

Well Silver, we watched it Saturday night and I have to say that I totally agree with your comment! One good thing is that it put my son to sleep early! Hahahahahaha.

I’ll add that I was kinda disappointed because I bought it Tuesday night and waited until Saturday night to watch it, so my hopes were up. I was anxious all week for Saturday to get here, LOL.

Nancy, Had you heard any comments from friends before you bought it? Are you the type of person who generally buys DVD’s to watch (rather than rent), even without knowing if you will like it? Or did you hear good things, and maybe hope the special effects were worth a purchase?

I know some people buy lots of DVD’s. Just wondering if you do, and if so, why you do. And why did you buy this particular movie?

I only saw the trailer for the movie and it looked really good to me. That is what made me purchase it. I hadn’t heard anything except what you had previously wrote above. I don’t buy a lot of movies but I do pick up one here and there so, I’m definitely taking my chances, LOL.

Oh well, hopefully it wasn’t too expensive. Sometimes the trailer has all the best parts of the movie in it, leading to a feeling of “Watch the trailer, skip the movie”. If we only knew which ones ahead of time . . .
