Revolution director Rob Stewart has been awarded Planet in Focus’ International Eco-Hero Award. Revolution was the No. 1 Canadian documentary of 2013, and had the highest-grossing opening weekend of any Canadian documentary since his previous movie, Sharkwater in 2007. It has won numerous awards at film festivals. Past recipients of the Eco-Hero Award include Robert Redford, David Suzuki, Margaret Atwood, Robert Bateman and astronaut Chris Hadfield. The honor is presented each year at the Planet In Focus International Environmental Film Festival to both a Canadian and an International figure whose artistic work has had significant impact on raising awareness environmental issues.
