Shia LaBeouf is abiding by the plea deal he reached with Manhattan prosecutors after his drunken meltdown in June. The Fury actor appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court yesterday to submit proof he’s been attending an alcohol treatment class in Los Angeles following his bizarre conduct at a performance of the musical Cabaret, when he shouted obscenities, smoked cigarettes and slapped one of the actors on the backside. However, following his appearance in court, attorney Robert Gage praised his client’s recent transformation, saying: ”Shia has done a terrific job of complying with the program. And we appreciate the court’s recognition of it.”
Under the terms of his plea agreement, Shia, 28, will see the charges against him dismissed provided he is not rearrested.
