penguinsgameThey’re back! If you couldn’t get enough of the wild antics of the loveable penguin pals — Skipper, Kowalski, Private and Rico — in the recent film Penguins of Madagascar, then worry no more! The penguins are back in a new adventure, once again taking on the villainous Dr. Octavius Brine, while as always in pursuit of their favorite delicious snack Cheezy Dibbles. Join them in Little Orbit’s new game Penguins of Madagascar as they come together to try and stop evil.

The game allows you to play as any of the four beloved penguins as they travel to different locales with the hope of stopping Brine. Even better, you can easily switch between playing from another penguin’s perspective. However, there’s no playing favorites here, because each of the penguins has a specialty that helps you move forward in the game. Each plays a different role in the mission  — whether it’s Rico’s expertise of blowing stuff up or Skipper’s martial arts skills that allow you to sneak past Brine’s Octopi guards. However, the four must work together if they have any hope of defeating Brine’s plan without getting caught.

Snapshot1Players are thrown straight into the game with little instructions on where to go or what to do — other than to stop Brine. It can be a bit confusing at first, but once players figure out how to switch between characters and where they are trying to go, the game moves along a lot quicker. The inclusion of all the penguins at different stages is fun and brings diversity to the game, but the repetitive puzzles may become tiresome for advanced players.

Little Orbit’s Penguins of Madagascar is sure to bring out your inner spy and provide hours of fun. The game is currently available for Wii, Wii U and 3DS. ~Janine Wyslobicky
