I’d like to see my families history in Saskatoon! Thanks
Stalin was one of the few leaders in history to wage war on his own people. My ancestors were from Ukraine,so this film is of great interest for me. I’d like to see it in Saskatoon, please.
I was talking to my Dad last week and asked why I never heard about his grandparents. He said that his father (my grandfather) didn’t speak of them as they were both shot in their home by the Russian invasion into the Ukraine. Their daughter (my great aunt) was raped in front of them and my grandfather and his 2 brothers managed to flee and eventually crossed the Ukraine border into Poland and joined the Polish Army and a few years later came to Canada. Then 2 days after the conversation with my Dad I saw the advertisement of Bitter Harvest. Even though this movie is going to be difficult to watch, as it touches so many people in my family, it is a movie that I don’t want to miss and hope to understand the strength and ambition of so many of the survivors. I live in Winnipeg and hope to win advanced screening passes.
This episode in Ukrainian history touched so man, changed the course of history of modern Ukraine and it’s implications have been far-reaching and are felt until this vary day. What is going on in eastern Ukraine right now is a direct result of Stalin’s terrible crimes and the soviet unions subsequent cover-ups. It’s amazing that this film has finally been made and hitting the theatres – ever-yone needs to know this story thank you to all those who made this film possible! We are in Toronto and would love to see it here! Thanks!

This movie will be a critically important telling of Ukrainian history & the abhorrent treatment endured. Given the current unrest, it is a very important time to bring this history to the public screen! I hope to gain a greater understanding of my family’s story through this movie – in Calgary

As a Canadian/Ukrainian and a film aficionado I have been waiting to see this film for three years when I first heard about the production during the Euromaidan! My grandparents were fortunate to leave Ukraine before the famine (Holodomor). I am eager to see the history told by this cast and crew!
Also as a performer in a Kozak troupe we would be privileged to perform for any corresponding events in Toronto!

There is a huge Ukrainian population in the Niagara Region. We do not hear about this tragic period in history however through this film young and old alike are being given the ability to witness the plight of Ukrainians – both in 1932 and again now! We hope “Bitter Harvest” will be presented in the Niagara Region – St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Welland, Buffalo etc.

This is history that has long been kept under wraps and should be taught in schools and recognized as a horror and an injustice to god-fearing people.
Would love to see this Friday in Edmonton!! So excited
This tragic event in history has been kept a secret by a corrupt government and will hopefully be taught in schools throughout the world and recognized as an injustice to mankind and never repeated.
