Alec Baldwin apologizes for explicit tirade

Alec Baldwin and Harvey Weinstein are burying the hatchet. After the 30 Rock star went on an expletive-filled tirade at Cannes regarding the Weinstein Company chairman, the two have made up at the very same festival. Last Thursday at a party thrown by Calvin Klein, Baldwin went on a very public rant, saying, “I don’t care who knows, after the success he had at Cannes last year and all the f*cking Oscars, he’s still a f*cking douche bag! I can’t believe it.” The comment was apparently because Weinstein passed on appearing in Baldwin’s film Seduced and Abandoned, a documentary about financing movies at the Cannes Film Festival. However, at an auction to benefit amfAR co-hosted by Weinstein yesterday, Baldwin wrote a heartfelt apology to the movie producer. In a statement reported on by the Hollywood Reporter, Weinstein graciously accepted saying, “We all lose our tempers sometime; trust me I have, too. We all appreciated his generosity to everyone at amfAR.” ~Kyle Sharp
