Alex Pettyfer films sex scene for Fifty Shades

By Tribute on April 25, 2013 | 15 Comments

Although no one has been cast as Christian Grey in the highly-anticipated film adaptation of E.L. James’ erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey, TheWrap reported that Good Will Hunting director, Gus Van Sant, who is also one of the executive producers of the now playing action adventure Revolution by Sharkwater director Rob Stewart, has filmed a test sex scene. Alex Pettyfer, 23, played Christian Grey in a scene in which Anastasia Steele (played by an undisclosed actress) loses her virginity. Pettyfer is no stranger to showing off his sexy moves onscreen, having played the role of The Kid in Magic Mike with Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey. Van Sant is using the footage to woo the producers in efforts to land the role as director. However, although Pettyfer played the part in the test scene, it doesn’t guarantee Van Sant will cast him as Christian if he becomes director. ~E. Guevarra[poll id=”442″]

Poor choice. Yes he’s hot, but I didn’t have a guy in mind looking like him while reading the books. Google Colin Egglesfield – I had THIS guy in mind. Also Glee’s Dean Geyer *drools*

He’s not a bad choice, Colin and Dean make great possible choices but Matt Bomer and Ian Somerhalder are better choices. Google them. You’ll see. They are both Christian to a tee. It will be interesting who they choose for the role and if the movie will even be comparable to the book.

Well… we’ll have to see the video to judge 😉

Don’t care about this, but whoever wrote this article doesn’t know that Revolution is a Documentary, not an action adventure.

He is good looking but he is way to young. The character is 28 years old. He does not look like he is 28 years old who has been running a successful business Maybe he can play the character Ethan.

Ahhhh, Bomer (though I DO love him in everything) and Somerhalder (too over-exposed now) are fine, it’s Stephen Amell who should play him.. Really. He looks like he’s in his late 20s (which the other two dont) and can certainly play the part of Grey.

Ian Somerhalder OR Jack Huston, who plays war vet-turned-gangster Richard Harrow on HBOs Boardwalk Empire are most definitely better choices IMHO!

Matt Bomer is gay, so I don’t know if he’s down to play the role of Christian Grey. Ian Somerhalder is great, he has those eyes too. But would Nina approve? lol

Faye, that’s a ridiculous assessment about Matt Bomer’s potential lack of interest in the role. Neil Patrick Harris plays a convincing womanizer and playboy on How I Met Your Mother, and owns the role yet he is gay.

Jensen Ackles…steamy, macho, mysterious…a much better choice for Christian Grey.

Ian Somerholder Is by far everyone choice. Can’t see anyone else!!

I agree Jensen Ackles mmmm so hot,I wouldn’t mind seeing what Channing Tatum could do with the role.

Justin Hartley would be another front runner I say.

I wasn’t too sure about this guy from Beastly… but after I saw his moves in Magic Mike, I changed my mind haha. He has potential. But I was thinking more of Ian Somerhalder, Matt Bomer or even Jason Momoa. 😛

I think it should be someone that is flying under the radar. They should really think of going with a new comer. Anyone to high profile might ruin it.
