Avengers dominate 2013 MTV Movie Awards

The silver screen superheroes from The Avengers won big at last night’s MTV Movie Awards, taking home awards for Movie of the Year, Best Fight and Best Villain. Aussie actress Rebel Wilson hosted the show and also nabbed herself a coveted Golden Popcorn statue for Breakthrough Performance for her role in last year’s hit musical Pitch Perfect. Rebel also reunited with some of her Pitch Perfect cast onstage for the show’s opening number. The MTV Movie Awards are never without a few hijinks – Parks and Recreation star Aubrey Plaza “pulled a Kanye” and jumped on stage while Will Ferrell was accepting his Comedic Genius Award. She tried to take the award away from him, but when he asked, “Are you okay?” she left the stage, dropping her drink on the way back to her seat. Although it’s believed she staged the prank, MTV News confirmed the stunt was not planned. She was later asked to leave the awards show.

   I watch Parks and Rec and Aubrey Plaza is hilarious… if you’re into that dark humour. I read that she had the name of her upcoming movie written on her chest (The To Do List) so I full on agree that she staged this.
