Britney Spears Vegas announcement

After months of speculation, the plans for Britney Spears‘ Las Vegas series of shows have been announced. Starting December 27, Britney will be performing 48 shows per year for the next two years at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada. She’ll be paid $310,000 per show, which totals almost $15 million per year. The show, entitled Piece of Me, will include songs from Britney’s new album as well as songs from her previous albums. Britney has decided not to permanently live in Vegas during her two-year contract, partly due to her two sons — she doesn’t want to disrupt their lives by taking them out of the school they’re presently in. Instead, Planet Hollywood is offering a mega-suite to Britney on the 52nd floor while she’s there. Tickets go on sale September 20 with a price range of $59 to $179. ~ Brie Davis
