Contagion beats Warrior at weekend box office

The drama The Help was knocked to second place after two weeks at the top of the box office by the new thriller Contagion, starring Matt Damon, Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Gwyneth Paltrow. The new No. 1 movie earned an estimated $23.1 million at the weekend box office and 3.5 stars from Tribute viewers. The Help grossed an additional $8.7 million. The action pic Warrior debuted in third place, earning $5.6 million and 4.5 stars at Tribute.ca. The Debt dropped from second place to fourth, taking in $4.9 million and 4 stars. Colombiana rose a spot to round out the top five with $4 million and 3.9 stars.
