Tragedy struck on Friday on the set of the upcoming remake, The Lone Ranger, when a crew member drowned. The man, who has since been identified as Mike Bridger, was reportedly working as a diver on a scene that involved a water tank when something went wrong. Other crew members on set immediately called 911 and when authorities arrived, the man was in full cardiac arrest. He was airlifted to a nearby hospital but doctors were unable to resuscitate him. The studio behind the production, Walt Disney Pictures, later released a statement confirming Bridger’s death, along with a heartfelt message of condolence: “Our hearts and thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues at this time, and our full support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this terrible event.” Cameras weren’t rolling when the accident occured. The Lone Ranger, which stars Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer and Helena Bonham Carter, is expected to be released in theaters July 2013.

I think Johnny Depp should make a statement or at least acknolwedge the accident since he’s such a prominent figure. Especially because there’s so much buzz about him being in this movie

Why should Johnny have to make a statement? This had nothing to do with him :S

There will be a memorandum at the end of the movie.
But really why is the Lone Ranger such a big production?? I never understood it..he is LONE. Meaning a solitary man. Why did he have a friend? Why wasn’t he named: The ranger with a sidekick or one of two rangers?? Meh whatever.

johnny does tones of great things with his life and his celeb status, if he doesnt make a statement it doesnt make him any less of an amazing man. people are always expecting celebs to act their way, when in reality these celebs are people that think breathe and act all on their own. stop dictating what famous people should be doing, if you want a statement soo bad, do one yourself!
