Demi Moore pulls plug on marriage to Ashton Kutcher

By Alexandra Heilbron on November 18, 2011 | 17 Comments

Demi Moore, 49, released a statement yesterday afternoon saying that she plans to divorce her husband of six years, Ashton Kutcher, 33. The statement read: “It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, a mother and a wife, there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life. This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation.” Ashton cheated on his wife just over a month ago, while she was out of town promoting her new movie. The 23-year-old woman who participated in the one night stand went public with the news. Although Kutcher at first denied the allegations, it wasn’t the first time he’s been accused of cheating.

Maybe if she did her job as a wife Ashton would not have had to look for sex elsewhere.

Trevor you are a moron. I have been with my wife for 11 years and though it can be rocky at times, cheating is not the answer. See cuz now Ashton and yourself look like huge assholes. Every guy knows when you get married you run the huge risk of losing some sex time with your wife. Is it Demmi’s fault that he cant keep his junk in his pants for a couple of weeks? When i don’t get laid for a couple weeks i get upset and tell my wife. Or i guess you would think it just better to screw some chick you met at a club instead. I hope Trevor you don’t get married……. EVER.

Yes Trevor – Last time I checked it takes two to tango – maybe he’s bad in the hay. Maybe if he did HIS job she’d do hers and how silly people cheat because they don’t get sex what a solid argument to disrespect a relationship, your right it has nothing to do with his own selfish, insecure, egocentric and narcissistic issues. I/m guessing your single and have to pay for it. Small comments = small manhood.

I am married with kids. When my wife doesn’t put out I tell her straight up to get with the program or I am off to the bar to get some tail. She gets the hint and then goes to the gym after to keep me happy. Best way to tango is for the guy to lead.

My heart goes out to her. She can find a much better man that this jerk. She made the right decision.

Oh, so Trevor your wife is in what most people would call an abuse relationship. Hope she makes the same decision as Demi.

Was anyone delusional enough to think this would last? She looks skinnier and older by the minute and he’s only 33. I KNOW, it’s shallow, but it doesn’t make it any less true.

She has teenagers and wants to be low-key, he’s still rocking and all over the place, this was doomed from the start.

This relationship was bound to end sometime. She’s old and weird while he’s a lowbrow manwhore.

She not only married someone younger (and unworthy of her), but someone who acts like he’s 12. I agree, the marriage couldn’t last. I think older woman/younger men relationships can last, but not in this case.

It was not going to last and everyone knows that. But hey, they did give it a shot. Kudo’s for trying and now they will part ways and I bet it will be amicable and have a good friendship over the coming years just like she has with Bruce. I think all 3 of them had a strange thing going on but there isn’t fighting between them and hell they all even vacationed together and trusted each other etc. Good on them.
Demi also slept with one of Ashtons buddies remember. So 2 to tango yes, but ‘Trevor’ man, guy, c’mon. You don’t threaten your wife with getting it elsewhere.
I’m not religious but the phrase ‘do unto others as you’d have done to you’ is something you might want to thing about. Have her threaten you and then follow thru with it. I have a feeling you won’t say oh well, I guess I should put out next time. Or oh well, she called my bluff. You will get pissed.

I think that Bruce Willis is sitting back and smiling at all of this. Demi had Bruce jealous all of these years with a younger guy, magnifying Kutcher over Bruce with Kutcher’s youth and all. Now, the star going on 50 years old faces the real reality – she is just as old and slow as Bruce and should have stayed with him.

To be honest this was inevitable a young man cannot be happy with an older woman. It deprives him of reproduction.

  13. Nobody Important • November 20, 2011 @ 8:10 PM

That was a stupid comment; besides, Kutcher shouldn’t be allowed to reproduce.

It sounds terrible to admit this, but I’ve always felt that women have an expiry date, in direct contrast to men, who happen to just get sexier as they age. I’m a 22 year old girl, a business owner, and have always had the urge to get my career set before the age of 22 (which I have) and then get married before 30. I feel my age (30 and beyond) will make me less desirable if I’m still looking for a man by then.

I know it’s unethical to think this way, but I’ve just stopped being in denial about it and am trying to train myself to think differently.

  15. Carlie • November 21, 2011 @ 11:14 AM

Angie, it’s not unethical of you to think that way; just naive. I’m 50, still get plenty of looks/attention from men (both younger and older) and in the past year, found a new boyfriend (also 50). He likes women his age, isn’t attracted to younger women and I’m not attracted to younger men, too immature and not much in common. It’s not necessary for you to put so much pressure on yourself. Women who take care of themselves and their appearance (and are warm and kind) have male attention for many years.

  16. Deb • November 21, 2011 @ 11:18 AM

Not all men get sexier as they age, Angie. How about Alec Baldwin, Val Kilmer and Sean Penn? They were so handsome and sexy at one time and now they’re not appealing in the least. I can probably mention at least 100 more (who are in the public eye) if you’d like. Some men get better (Tom Cruise), but most men as they age get fat, bald and ugly.
