Elizabeth Olsen considered for Scarlet Witch in The Avengers 2

Elizabeth Olsen, the 24-year-old sister of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, is a contender to play the role of Scarlet Witch in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, according to Bleeding Cool. The site claims that since Saoirse Ronan passed up the role of Scarlet Witch (also known as Wanda Maximoff), Marvel and director Joss Whedon are now considering Elizabeth. As for the role of Scarlet Witch’s brother Quicksilver, Kick-Ass‘s Aaron Taylor-Johnson recently revealed that he is in talks to play it. Quicksilver is also set to appear in Bryan Singer‘s X-Men: Days of Future Past and will be played by Evan Peters. However, during a Q&A at Montreal’s Fantasia International Film Festival, Singer confirmed that Scarlet Witch will not be a character in his film. ~Alfonso Espina

I hate superhero movies, but good for her! She’s an amazing actress and this will be financially rewarding, if not artistically.
