On Tuesday evening, NeueHouse Hollywood held an event for Variety‘s Power of Young Hollywood to honor today’s bright, young celebrities.
Honorees such as Elle Fanning, Ansel Elgort, Jaden Smith, Cameron Dallas and Bethany Mota all shared what it’s like being in the entertainment industry at their age, along with their advice to those who are being bullied online.
“Whenever someone’s bullying me I think, what’s going on with this person,” explained Bethany. “There has to be something going on in their lives that makes them not want to spread positivity. So it’s almost an opportunity to help someone rather than letting it affect you.”
Agreeing, Elle added, “Social media does do a lot of good; you can share a little part of yourself with fans. There’s definitely the good and the bad.” The five honorees spoke about using their fame to benefit the world, with Ansel telling the crowd, “We’re the future,” and encouraging them to act now.
Other attendees at the event included Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, Modern Family’s Ariel Winter and Nolan Gould, Black-ish actors Marcus Scribner and Miles Davis, Disney Channel stars Skai Jackson and G Hannelius and social media celebrity Connor Franta. ~Natalia Makarski

It’s great that so many young celebrities are speaking out about this. It’s a topical subject and will be for a very long time.
On a side note, Ariel Winter is an idiot.
