Emma Stone live tweets Colin Firth his movies

No one would blame Colin Firth if he stopped checking texts from his Magic in the Moonlight co-star Emma Stone. In the upcoming Woody Allen movie, the two play romantic interests, despite an age gap of almost 30 years between them. If the age gap hasn’t raised eyebrows, another topic of discussion could be the number of texts Emma has sent Colin about his past films, as illustrated in their interview with The Daily Beast.

Emma says, “We’ve talked about this so many times, Colin! Gosh!” She’s referring to interviewers questioning her about her texting Colin as she re-watched his films. “I’ve seen Love Actually about 18 times. I’ve seen Bridget Jones too many times now. (Speaking to Colin) You were so upset with me! I live-texted Colin the plot of Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason a few months back while I was watching it… I talked him through what he was doing.”

Colin is known for his dry wit and self-deprecation, which was no exception when reacting to Emma’s enthusiasm for his work. “Thank you. She’s talking through my back catalog via text! I might decide to not revisit stuff in the past, and then you get a good friend saying, ‘Oh, when you were doing this you had this and that expression on your face.’”

The two also spoke about filming in in the French Riviera. Colin has scenes in the water in movies like Pride and Prejudice but it doesn’t sound like he’s a fan of water work. Luckily Emma knows how to make the best of the situation. Colin pointed out, “And they threw me in the sea in this movie…It was horrendous, because what the temperature of that water does to your pride.” Emma, not missing a beat followed up with,”And prejudice.” Magic In The Moonlight opens in theaters starting on August 1, then releasing wider August 8. ~Andrea Hodgins

She’s so funny. Right up there with Jennifer Lawrence, they’re both my favourite actresses.
