Glee to cast two new characters

Although there has been talk of delaying production of the fifth season due to the death of actor Cory Monteith, plans are still in motion to cast two new roles on Glee. Producers are casting for the role of Jenny, who is described as a “cute and quirky” 20-something who will debut in episode two and remain as a recurring guest star. The second role is unnamed but is described as an African-American student at McKinley High School. For both roles, which were planned before Cory’s tragic death, the actors must be able to sing. Fox and Glee executives are reportedly having meetings this week to determine what changes to make to the show with regards to Cory’s character, Finn Hudson. A source told E!News, “Everyone is in shock. To say that Cory was much loved on the Glee set doesn’t even begin to do him justice.” ~Alfonso Espina
