Golden Globe recap and photo gallery!

The Social Network was the big winner at the Golden Globes last night, winning Best Picture – Drama, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Original Score. On the TV side, Glee picked up a number of awards, including Best Television Series – Comedy Or Musical; Best Supporting Actress in a TV show for Jane Lynch, who declared, “I am nothing but falsely humble!” and Best Supporting Actor in a TV show for Chris Colfer. Host Ricky Gervais was edgier than last year, making jokes about celebrities seconds before they walked onstage. Some played along, like Steve Carell, but others seemed offended, like Robert Downey Jr., who said, “Aside from the fact that it’s been hugely mean-spirited with mildly sinister undertones, I’d say the show’s going pretty good so far, wouldn’t you?”

   I thought that as one big happy hollywood family, they could say stuff like that to each other? Isn’t that what families do? tee hee

   I did cover my face a few times ……… and thought OMG! I love my Charlie Sheen and Robert Downey Jr … so didn’t like those jokes …… but hey, this question is moot as nothing will come of it.

   This was a good year for the Golden Globes! Enjoyed it!!

   Ricky Gervais definitely breathed life into the show. Without him, it would have been one big snooze fest. I loved that Downey Jr. was offended. Way to go Ricky!!!!

   I personally thought that Robert DeNiro was the funniest when he won the Cecile B Demille award. He had me in stiches making fun of himself! Kudos to Robert on a fantastic career.

   Robert Downey needs to get a sense of humour. Ricky was so funny and the only reason I watched the show. It was boring when he wasn’t on.
