Aaron Taylor-Johnson in talks to play Quicksilver in Avengers 2

Aaron Taylor-Johnson may be making the transition from human vigilante in the Kick-Ass films to a speedy superhero in Avengers 2 if negotiations with Marvel Studios go well. According to TheWrap, the 22-year-old actor is the number one candidate that Marvel wants to play Quicksilver. The character, who possesses superhuman speed, will appear in the sequel to the movie, along with his twin sister, The Scarlet Witch, who’s able to control probability. Quicksilver will also be making an appearance in X-Men: Days of Future Past, played by Evan Peters, who starred as Johnson’s best friend in Kick-Ass. Though there is no confirmation that Johnson has landed the part, it’s probable the roles of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch will be accounted for by the time July’s Comic-Con begins. Along with the Taylor-Johnson rumors, word is that The Host’s Saoirse Ronan is interested in playing his twin sister. ~Naomi Leanage
