Abigail Breslin defends friendship with Donald Trump daughter

Abigail BreslinAbigail Breslin is facing harsh criticism for her friendship with Tiffany Trump.

After posting an Instagram photo with the soon-to-be-president‘s youngest daughter on Tuesday (Jan. 17), the actress received a barrage of angry comments and insults, with one user asking, “Whyyy feature the spawn of Satan in your photos!?” and another accusing of her of only “pretending” to support Hillary Clinton.

Although many other users saw nothing wrong with the photo, which had Abigail and Tiffany posing for a friend’s birthday, the Little Miss Sunshine star immediately took to social media to defend her “wonderful” friend and to blast the “disgusting” behavior of her followers.

“To everyone who’s being horrible and disgusting to me rn [right now], I didn’t vote for trump. It’s none of anyone’s business, but I didn’t,” she wrote in a letter posted to Instagram. “However, it is honestly disgusting of people to be so cruel about tiff who is a wonderful and kind person.”

The actress added, “If you’re judging me for hanging out with someone I’ve known for years at our friends bday party, you need to reevaluate your life.”

What do you think — do people have the right to criticize Abigail or is it actually “none of anyone’s business”? Sound off below!

Abigail, I think what you’re doing is honorable, standing up to the harsh criticism. It just shows you who your true friends really are, and all the naysayers are really the losers.

Why do idiots insist on punishing children for the sins of their father/mother? Give your heads a shake and shake the shit out from between your ears!

What do u expect from Clinton supporters other than hate?

Deebee you are correct. Most of them say they are tolerant but they are not. They seem to be against anyone who does not agree with them. Good for her for sticking up for herself.

Everything from death threats to gutless anonymous messages, and these are the garbage that says Trump promotes hate?

Way to completely fail on this topic. This whole story is about generalizations and driving wedges….and then you comment with a generalization and divide. I hope that you realize that you are part of the problem and not the solution.
(I don’t support either Clinton or Trump – I am not even from the States. In case you think that I am one of “those” people. I support reason and fairness.)

Shut up with the political screeds. I thought this was a Canadian site. Enough already!

She’s a bad actress. Super annoying in August: Osage County. But she can befriend any idiot she wants to, I don’t care.

She let herself down by proclaiming ‘I didn’t vote for Trump’. Just a sign of the intimidation these women in hollywood suffer if they do not go with the status quo…and they have the NERVE to be marching against intimidation when they are more guilty of it than any other group. If these fools really think people will shun Trump’s family…they are deluded. GUARANTEED it will not be long before most of them are trying to curry favour with the new President.
