Adam Sandler breaks Razzie records

The 32nd Annual Razzie Award nominees were announced  just one night before movie fans and connoisseurs sat down to watch and honor this year’s best pictures and actors at the 84th Academy Awards. This year Adam Sandler dominated the Razzies with eleven nominations — more than doubling Eddie Murphy‘s old record of five — for the most nominations raked in by an individual in a year.  Bucky Larson: Born to be a Star and Jack and Jill, both written and produced by Sandler, are in the running for worst picture. Adam himself received a worst actor nomination for his performances in Jack and Jill and Just Go With It. Michael Bay’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 also made the list in the worst picture category. Nicolas Cage, a familiar face at the Razzies, received a nomination for worst actor for his performances in Drive Angry, Season of the Witch and Trespass. The Razzies Awards are set to take place on April Fool’s Day — no other day would better fit this awards show. ~Kayla Thompson
