After cleaning up at this year's Grammys, singer Adele took home even more prizes at last night's 2012 Brit Awards -- she won for best British Female Solo Artist and the coveted title of MasterCard British Album of the Year. But while she was delivering her heartfelt acceptance speech for the latter award, she was interrupted by host James Corden and as the audience booed, she responded by saying, "Are you about to cut me off? Can I just say then, goodbye and I'll see you next time around." The singer then flipped the bird toward the audience. She later explained that the finger was actually intended for the industry leaders running the show. "I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but it was the suits that offended me," she said. "Thank you all very much and thanks to my fans. I don't want them to think I was swearing at them." Adele has since received an apology from Brit Awards organizers, who say they had to cut her speech short because the live event was running over their allotted air time. Corden also weighed in on the incident in a post-show interview, saying he didn't understand why he was being told to cut her off and that he was really upset about it.

There a difference between singing at the superbowl halftime show and being cutoff after receiving the most prestigious awards at the Brit Awards!
