Adrian Grenier defends paparazzi

Adrian Grenier thinks there should be more “empathy” for paparazzi. Most celebrities discuss how much they hate the photographers who follow them about their everyday lives desperate to get a picture, but Adrian doesn’t share their opinion. “I always felt there isn’t enough empathy for paparazzi. Sure, they’re annoying but not all bad. Not all trying to do you in. In some cases they’re out all night, frantically dodging cars and bodyguards, risking themselves to make money. Ever since I started on Entourage, I’ve experienced them. I’ve been dogged and blinded by flashlights,” he told the New York Post. “But I tended to understand these types.” So much so that Grenier made a documentary called Teenage Paparazzo, in which he examines the life of a 13-year-old photographer called Austin Visschedyk. “I lived among them for a while. It became my imperative to construct an understanding of those who do this.” Austin gets paid around $2,000 for a photograph of a star such as Kim Kardashian at the start of the film. He gets more famous as the movie continues, making him hungrier for acknowledgement.

He has a point. They’re just trying to earn a living. Actors make thousands if not millions doing their job, why begrudge the photographers?

Jodie is an ass. Policy 51 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom states that a person has the right to not be excluded, harassed, or persecuted under all kinds of criteria that’s long and boring BUT simply put a person or celeb has the right not to be harassed. How would you react to a bunch of paparazzi yelling your name and snapping an untimely photo at your work, picking up kids or groceries, walking the dog, etc then taking pictures of you through your bathroom window in all your glory then the caption below says “Jodie is Fat” or “Jodie is a Pervert Exposing Herself to Neighbourhood Children.” Think that violates your rights but according to you that’s Jim-dandy bc camera boy is earning a living destroying your life.

I hardly think people taking photos are destroying celebrities lives. And I have news for you — they don’t write the headlines to go with the photos. Most paparazzi situate themselves at celebrity hangouts, where the celebs go because they know they’ll be photographed. Not all of them are intrusive. There are so many celebrities who we never see in the news. That’s because they live quiet lives, don’t go out to obvious places, don’t try to attract attention. And Bam Bam, if there’s an ass on this board it’s you, because you don’t allow other people to have opinions. It’s hilarious that you think the paparazzi are rude — from what I’ve witnessed on countless videos they’re alway incredibly polite. You’re the rude one. And why on are you bringing up the Canadian Charter of Rights? Name one Canadian actor who lives in Canada who’s bothered by paparazzi.

If there wasn’t such high demands for those pictures that make them pay so much for them, this profession would not exist. It’s the fans obsession with finding anything out about celebs that causes the paparazzi phenom to exist. I enjoy movies and music but don’t really care about their personnal life. If people would leave them alone, there would be no need for paparazzis.

jodie with your rude comment? if people have the right to do things without being photographed, surely they have their right to an opinion without being mistreated by someone on a celeb gossip site. the fact that you went as far as insulting jodie made your entire comment lose its credibility. game over, you lose.

i agree completely with the rest of the comments on this article.
