Anna Kendrick music video debuts tonight

Anna Kendrick, 27, has shown she has the singing chops to thrive in the music industry – but will she? The Oscar nominee’s harmonious voice was introduced to the big screen in the musical comedy Pitch Perfect – a film that reaped $113 million at the worldwide box office. Her song “Cups” was such a great hit that it was made into a radio version that found its way onto the Billboard Hot 100. Entertainment Tonight asked Anna during an interview whether she’s planning to record an album. “My next movie [The Last Five Years] is a musical, which is crazy ’cause I didn’t mean for that to happen. It’s not like a strategy,” she responded. “But, as far as making an…album, I mean, I just would feel so silly. So, it’s not something I’m thinking about.” However, she did agree to make a music video for the song, admitting she agreed to the music video “mostly ’cause I wanted to work with [Pitch Perfect director] Jason again ’cause I’m totally obsessed with him, and because this idea of an entire diner full of people doing the ‘cup thing’ really satisfied the Busby Berkeley lover in me.” The official release of the video will take place later tonight on Vevo.com. ~Rebecca Raveendran
