Anna Paquin names daughter Poppy

Anna Paquin and her husband, Stephen Moyer, have finally revealed the names of their twins, after keeping it a mystery for nine months. They were blessed with a son and daughter and have named the boy Charlie, a nice normal name, considering many celebrities choose names such as Apple (Gwyneth Paltrow), Kyd (David Duchovny) and Sage Moonblood (Sylvester Stallone). However, they’ve chosen a more unusual name for their little girl — Poppy. Moyer accidently slipped in the names during an interview at the season six premiere, saying that he and Anna planned to spend Father’s Day “hanging out with Charlie and Poppy.” The True Blood stars married in 2010, after Moyer proposed on a Hawaiian beach a year earlier. Poppy and Charlie are the couple’s first children together, although Moyer has another daughter named for a flower — Lilac, 10 — and 12-year-old son Billy from previous relationships. ~Naomi Leanage

Poppy is also a flower so it makes sense. He clearly likes flower names for girls which is very old school!
Not unusual at all. Just not North American. Neither is Paquin. Jamie Oliver’s daughters are Poppy and Daisy. This isn’t really news but I guess it’s a slow day. Maybe Amanda Bynes will have another Twitter tirade they can cover.
Anna has lost a lot of weight. Barely looks like her. Smile and let me see the gap to prove it’s her.

All I can think of when I hear the name Poppy is the man from Seinfeld who peed on Seinfeld’s couch and didn’t wash his hands before making their meal at his restaurant. Ewwww lol
It’s actually a really cute name. Didn’t the grandfather on The Waltons call little girls Poppet? Reminds me of that.
