Arrest warrant issued for Michael Madsen

The Los Angeles Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Michael Madsen, 53, after a judge found him in contempt, following a no-show at a court hearing last week. Madsen’s failure to appear in court prompted the judge to rule him in contempt and promptly issue a warrant for his immediate arrest. The actor, who has five children and two ex-wives, is accused of owing nearly $600,000 in child and spousal support and when he’s caught, he’ll be thrown in jail with bail set at $26,000. Madsen, who has appeared in over 175 TV and film productions, filed for bankruptcy in 2009, listing Pierce Brosnan and Quentin Tarrantino as people to whom he owes money. He’s completed roles in over 20 projects set to be released in 2011, though most appear to be small budget, independent films.

I always liked this actor, I feel bad that things went south for him. He has done a lot of B movies that didn’t make any money but he has memorable roles in Kill Bill and The Doors for instance. Hope he can recover from that.
