Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner shoot film an action scene for 'The Avengers in NYC

The cast and crew of The Avengers were busy over the weekend shooting scenes for the upcoming movie in downtown Manhattan, giving fans and photographers a good look at the costumes. During Comicon, Jeremy Renner, who took archery lessons to play Hawkeye, revealed that his character would be more representative of the Ultimates version of the character, effectively ditching the purple tights and wearing a leather vest. Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, who also appeared in Iron Man 2, wears a skin tight black costume, complete with sidearms. The movie, which opens in theaters May 4, 2012, also stars Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner) and Stellan Skarsgard (Erik Selvig). Just crazy how Chris Evans who plays Cap. Am. looks a heck of a lot like Jonny Storm from Fantastic Four. Creepy. ;)

I like Renner, I think he will bring something great to this movie. Thor and Capt, America were OK, Iron man 2 was subpar compared to the first, let's see what this one will bring.

On a different topic, I though Green Lantern was underrated, It was much better then the critics said it was. Too many people taking themselves way too seriously in this business.
