Benedict Cumberbatch sexiest man of the year

Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch has been named British newspaper The Sun’s sexiest man of the year for the second time in a row! “I enjoy being called handsome even though it’s hysterical,” Cumberbatch responded to the news. “Bring it on!” Unlike the keen and witty detective he plays on TV, who can solve any mystery, the actor has no clue as to how he attained his sex symbol status. Despite being recognized as Britain’s hottest man, he says, “I’m still processing this strange misperception. I suppose I’ll have to find a way to deal with the strain.” Aside from the flattery and his successful roles in War Horse and The Hobbit, Cumberbatch is determined to stay focused, explaining, “You need to treat it as a great adventure. It can get quite overwhelming if you start really believing in your own press, good or bad, and you could go a little bit insane.” The modest star even jokes about his appearance, saying, “My look suits a period drama… although some have likened the shape of my head to that of Sid the sloth from Ice Age.” Cumberbatch will be seen as Starfleet agent John Harrison in the upcoming Star Trek sequel. ~Sarah Dos Santos

Doesn’t anyone notice it’s the ‘it’ people that they choose for sexiest of the year? Paltrow is on there because of other negative press and she is supposed to play a strong woman in Iron Man 3 which just happens to be coming out after that article to boost her popularity. And this guy because he was chosen to be a breakout star with the new Star Trek movie coming out..it wasn’t enough that his role in the film was kept a tight secret but we knew he was in the movie but westerners really didn’t know who he was, so this helps boost interest. Coincidence?
