Blake Shelton to officiate Kelly Clarkson’s wedding

He may be known for his award-winning country music career and for being a popular judge on NBC’s The Voice, but Blake Shelton’s latest role may be his most important. Shelton will officiate Miss Independent singer Kelly Clarkson‘s upcoming wedding. Clarkson announced her engagement to Shelton’s manager Brandon Blackstock last December. She told Entertainment Tonight that Shelton will both perform at the wedding and preside over the ceremony backstage at the American Country Music Awards, which he co-hosted this year with fellow country singer Luke Bryan. It’s no surprise that Shelton will officiate Clarkson and Blackstock’s upcoming nuptials – they owe much of their relationship to country music. The couple were introduced by Shelton’s wife, country singer Miranda Lambert, and Blackstock is Reba McEntire’s stepson. Clarkson did not confirm a date for the ceremony. ~Liz Deciano
