Bradley Cooper beats Matthew McConaughey at box office

Limitless starring Bradley Cooper won the weekend box office battle, debuting in the top spot with an estimated $19 million (all figures U.S.), approximately $3 million more than had been predicted. Tribute Viewers gave it a high rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars. Rango, the animated film featuring Johnny Depp‘s voice as the main character, held on to the second place spot for the second weekend in a row, earning another $15.3 million for a three-week cumulative gross of $92.5 million. Last weekend’s top movie, Battle: Los Angeles, dropped two spots to third, earning an additional $14.6 million. The Lincoln Lawyer starring Matthew McConaughey debuted in fourth place, earning $13.4 million and 4 stars from Tribute Viewers. Rounding out the top five was the alien flick, Paul, close behind with $13.2 million and a Tribute Viewer rating of 4.25 stars.
