Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are suing a British newspaper that several weeks ago instigated a story about the couple breaking up. The couple’s lawyer, Keith Schilling, said yesterday his clients had begun proceedings against Britain’s News of the World for making “false allegations about their relationship.” The paper had reported that Jolie, 34, and Pitt, 46, who are not married, had met with a divorce lawyer and were headed for a split. Although many media outlets ran with the story, Tribute confirmed with inside sources that news of the breakup was untrue. Pitt and Jolie were seen with their son Maddox at the Super Bowl on Sunday, and in photographs taken at the time, were openly affectionate with each other. ~Alexandra Heilbron

this is exactly why i dont read too much into the garbage you see on the tabloids and other magazines. no one knows what happens in the lives of celebs behind closed doors, except the celebs themselves. im glad they are suing, maybe it will make people leave them alone. they seem happy together.
They do seem very happy together. I didn’t know she was only 34, I thought she was closer to 40!
If they are suing, Jen might as well, but I mean, SHE understands it’s just taboids. Any UNDERSTANDING people would. That’s how magazines/newspaper make money. eg. Foresay, someone said my boyfriend dumped me, when I really dumped him, I would be offended, yes, but I wouldn’t hold a grudge. I mean, I don’t care what others think, it’s what people really knows(in that case, only my close relations would know the truth).
I think it is a good thing for them to sue because it sets an example. Maybe if these tabloids get sued for every penny that they make for their lies, it won’t be profitable for them to lie anymore. Besides, that money would be better spent on charities or third world countries. Haiti could benefit from it. We all know that Brad and Angie won’t keep the money they get from this, that they will give it to charity, they just want to set the example.

amy, it doesnt mean brad and angelina arent understanding, it means that its been what, 5, 6 years since they have been together? and since the day they became a couple all we have read about is how they are going to split up. im sure even the UNDERSTANDING people get annoyed, frustrated, hurt, upset, angry etc when magazines (or people) spend 5 or 6 years dictating how their relationship APPARENTLY is.
it shows that stupid tabloids cover did sell the magazines that doesn’t mean topics are true!!! Good for them to suing the tabloids.
