Carys, the six-year-old daughter of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, will be starring in her school’s presentation of the musical Annie, the actress told Good Morning America. Ironically, 31 years ago, Catherine played the same role in her homeland of Wales at the age of nine. It was after her stage debut as the adorable orphan that Zeta-Jones set her sights on the lights of Hollywood.  Now, the star is wondering if her daughter will have the same experience.  “My daughter is about to embark on her first school production, Annie,” said Zeta-Jones. They also have a son, Dylan, nine, who also seems to be interested in acting. “They’ve both got their parents’ genes,” added the Chicago star. ~Patricia Gougeon

i actually was unaware that they had any children. i thought this meant she was putting her in a movie. i hate how the headlines mislead you.

I knew they had children but, I’m wondering just how much influence Catherine had in her daughter getting the EXACT same part she had years ago…? Hmmmm…I bet the Douglas/Zeta-Jones family donates a lot of cash to this school. LOL

    Yeah, Mickey Rourke for example!

  6. demigod on January 2, 2010 8:34 AM

Mickey Rourke is not as saggy and shapeless.

ick ick ick, sorry demigod, but I think he’s just gross!

  8. demigod on January 2, 2010 6:36 PM

What’s gross is Catherine Zeta-Jones ‘doing’ a geriatric.

  9. Nancy on January 2, 2010 8:46 PM

Again, I agree Tributegirl. Mickey Rourke is disgusting and Michael Douglas has always, at least, been an upstanding member of society…which is more than I could ever say about Rourke.

CZJ can do whoever she wants, I can’t imagine doing either! But….I would definAtely pick Michael over Mickey any day!

Hahaha, “definAtely”! Eh, thanks “A”. Can’t believe you remember that. I thought only she did.

  13. tributegirl on January 4, 2010 6:45 PM

hahahahaha, nope, that’s one for the books, for sure!

I’ve never heard any such confession from Michael Douglas…and, as long as his wife is happy, who freaking cares?

Tributegirl: There she goes ‘freaking out’ again because we’ve been speaking bad about her precious Mickey-wicky! Hahaha. Sounds like she’s the one who’s “deprived”. I know I’m certainly not.
