Charlie Sheen announces new TV show

Charlie Sheen has confirmed that he is teaming up with his producer pal Joe Roth to bring Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler’s movie Anger Management (2003) to the small screen.

Since he was famously let go from the hit TV show Two and a Half Men following a public battle with producers, Sheen he has confirmed plans for his TV comeback.

In a statement issued to UsMagazine.com, Sheen said, “I chose Anger Management because, while it might be a big stretch for me to play a guy with serious anger management issues, I think it is a great concept. It also provides me with real ownership in the series, a certain amount of creative control and the chance to be back in business with one of my favorite movie producers of all time, Joe Roth.”

Lionsgate Entertainment says the Anger Management-based TV series will revolve around “a mild-mannered, non-confrontational man ordered to attend group anger management sessions led by a therapist who could probably use some anger management himself.”

Sheen previously worked with Roth on the films, Young Guns, The Three Musketeers and Major League. The series has yet to be given an airdate.

Will you watch Sheen’s new show?

Though I have this feeling it may bomb, I’m really hoping it doesn’t and it surpasses that which is 2 and a half.

Good luck Charlie…you still need to get clean though…

This could be good, it all depends what the supporting cast will be like.

I think the show could be good! Can only wait and see. But yeah, he needs to get clean and sober. Or I can see another fall-out happening.

Charlie. You should learn to act first.

I really liked 2-1/2 men but stopped watching it after awhile, because of his terrible behaviour. I know he has an abuse problem, but, unless he gets into rehab, and stays there, he won’t get better and will probably run into problems with his new show.

I have recently started watching it again, once in a while, but one day the boy is a little boy, and the next day, he is 4-5 yrs older. I guess all they have is reruns, but it would be nice if they could get them in some kind of order. It is not as funny when it moves back and forth in time. I do wish Charlie all the luck in the world, and I think he is going to need it…..so GOOD LUCK CHARLIE!!!

Charlie Sheen needs to look in the mirror… he has aged at least a decade in the last year. Rehab and a healthy lifestyle should be his priority, not making more money to pay for his habits.

Disappointed that anyone in Hollywood would think that’s a good investment.

@ TV Buff, don’t be naive, Charlie Sheen is hot, it doesn’t matter if it’s positive or negative publicity, his name is all over the place so TV execs will cash in if they can, they don’t care about Charlie’s health, they care about the money he could bring them.

Roth knows how to make money…he is banking on Charlie’s “fame” negative or not. This should be interesting.

Would love to see him back on T.v. As long he keeps his personal life and demons and crazyness to himself and stays professional onset and to cast and crew. I’m all for seeing him back. Good Luck Charlie! You’re a one of a Kind!

I think Charlie Sheen is a great Actor and can do anything he sets his mind to do. He is a lot like his father and will come out on top. We all have our setbacks in life and maybe this was Charlie’s, but he will rise above this and be a better Actor and Person for it – maybe this was the lesson of loss that he had to learn the hard way. Good luck Charlie Sheen, I have been a fan of your Fathers for many years and have followed your Career as well. By the way, although you are a very handsome man, if I had to choose the sexiest man in the world it would be your Father, Martin Sheen. Good luck Charlie Sheen, I will be watching for sure.

Will be watching and hoping….but unless he has cleaned up his act it won’t be for long. Hit shows are few and far between and finding another hit is unlikely even if he is on his “A game” His addiction problems were obvious in his last few shows of “two and a half men” in his acting and his appearance. Hopefully “two and a half men” works out for the sake of the other actors but afraid it ran out of story line about a year ago even with charlie.
