Charlie Sheen, 44, was arrested yesterday (Christmas Day) in Aspen, Colorado and charged with domestic violence. A 911 call was made at 8:34 a.m. on Friday. When police arrived on the scene, Sheen’s wife, Brooke Mueller, claimed Charlie had assaulted her. Sheen was arrested on second degree assault, menacing and one misdemeanor relating to domestic violence. Brooke has since changed her story, telling police she was drunk when she made the 911 call and she is now refusing to cooperate with the investigation. Chief Deputy D.A. Arnold Mordkin, who runs the Aspen office, told TMZ.com the charges will not be dropped, saying: “Generally speaking, our office files charges when police make an arrest,” adding, “It is not uncommon where a victim in the throes of an event says some things and thereafter the story seems to change.” Sheen, who was released from jail after posting $8,500 bail, is scheduled to appear in court on February 8, 2010.

if shes changing her story, perhaps she really WAS drunk and none of it is true. so much for “innocent until proven guilty”. im sure if he assaulted her, she would have marks on her body. ridiculous that chris brown basically got away with ruining rhiannas face etc but hes being charged when theres no proof?
If it’s second degree assault, there must be marks. The D.A. is right, it’s not uncommon for someone to get out on bail or to make a phone call from jail to the victim and then all of a sudden, the story changes. It’s the “I’m sorry honey. I love you and it will never happen again” thing, which is exactly why the law was changed so that the charges cannot be dropped by the victim. Personally, I like ’2 1/2 Men’, it’s hilarious but, if this is what Charlie Sheen is all about, he’s an @$$ and deserves to be locked up.
yep youre right, if its second degree there MUST be marks. if there isnt then this story is clearly untrue and she WAS drunk and thats why she is changing her story. until we find out if she has marks to prove it, he shouldnt be charged or condemned.

Yes he did, sandy. His last wife is a twit (in my opinion), but there is still no excuse for abuse. He needs to do some hard time, I think, and be made to take some courses to help improve his behaviour.

I read today that on Christmas day she told him she wanted a divorce, and custody of the babies, and support, so he threw her on the bed & held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her.
