Christian Bale: no disrespect to George Clooney

Christian BaleChristian Bale didn’t mean to ”disrespect” George Clooney with his paparazzi comments. The Exodus: Gods and Kings star had previously criticized George, 53, in WSJ magazine for supposedly ”whining” about the attention he receives when he goes out in public.

Christian said: ”It doesn’t matter that he talks about it. It’s like, ‘Come on, guys, just shut up. Just get on with it and live your lives and stop whining about it.’ I prefer not to whine about it.” However, the 40-year-old actor has since apologized to his fellow thespian as he admitted how their lives don’t ”even begin to compare.”

Christian told E! News: ”I never meant any disrespect whatsoever. I’ve got immense respect for him and I can’t even begin to imagine the invasion of his privacy. Our lives don’t even begin to compare. He’s a true movie star. I’m just somebody who was lucky to get a job.”

Christian had originally explained how he is frustrated by the rude comments he receives when he is out with his wife Sibi Blazic, 44, stating that they are ”killing his humanity and dignity.” Recalling a trip to Italy – where George married his lawyer wife Amal Alamuddin, 36, in September 2014 – Christian told WSJ magazine: I was in Italy with my wife. I would go to work; she would leave the hotel. There would be a man who stood outside … and say the most obscene things imaginable to my wife … He’s killing my humanity and my dignity as a husband if I do not, and he knows this. So you’ve got a choice.”
