In a bizarre story, Diggity Dave Aragon of MTV's Pimp My Ride told a Los Angeles radio station that he believes the shooter of the terrible Colorado massacre contacted him a month prior to the shooting. Aragon - who wrote, directed and starred in the upcoming Batman-inspired film The Suffocator of Sins - claims a man identifying himself as James Holmes called him to express his interest in the film's plot, which portrays a young man dressed in a Batman costume, shooting people. Aragon describes the film as a "very sick and dark twist of the Batman movies." Holmes was reportedly obsessed with the trailer, watching it over 100 times, and called the director to express his enjoyment.
"He would tell me what he really liked about the trailer," Aragon recalled. "He kept pressing if I could give him more information on the story. He wanted to know how many people Batman kills. He wanted to know if it was selective killing. Does he make a list of people he wants to kill or is it a mass body count?" The Pimp My Ride star claims the caller came across as desperate to reach out to someone. "He was shocked I took his call," he says. "He couldn't believe he was talking to me. I'm a pretty good judge of character and I knew the kid was lonely." Holmes has been charged with 24 counts of murder. Check out the movie trailer below. ~Devin Garabedian
