Critics’ Choice Awards 2014: Complete Winners List

With the 2014 awards season in full swing, last night’s Critics’ Choice Awards was full of winners. 12 Years a Slave swept the floor with several wins, including Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay. The film’s up-and-coming star Lupita Nyong’o beat audience favorite Jennifer Lawrence for Best Supporting Actress, and her heartfelt speech touched everyone in the audience. About her experience on the film’s set, Nyong’o said: “Being a part of 12 Years a Slave has been one of the most profound experiences of my life.” Matthew McConaughey and Cate Blanchett picked up the Best Actor and Actress awards for their stellar performances in Dallas Buyers Club and Blue Jasmine, respectively, and McConaughey’s Dallas co-star Jared Leto won Best Supporting Actor. Best Director went to Gravity‘s Alfonso Cuaron, who beat Hollywood veterans Martin Scorsese and David O. Russell. The sci-fi action thriller picked up a slew of other awards, and Sandra Bullock won Best Actress In An Action Movie for her role in the film. American Hustle  was another lucky winner last night, taking home several awards including Best Comedy and Best Acting Ensemble. Here’s the complete list of last night’s winners:
