Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz heading to Broadway

By Tribute on April 5, 2013 | 2 Comments

Skyfall actor Daniel Craig and his wife Rachel Weisz are ready to hit Broadway! The pair, who married privately in 2011, will star in a production of Harold Pinter’s Betrayal, which was inspired by the playwright’s affair with broadcaster Joan Bakewell. Weisz will play Emma, who is married to Craig’s Robert, but is having an affair with Jerry (Rafe Spall, who starred in Ang Lee’s Life Of Pi). Weisz is no stranger to the theater: in 2010, she won a Olivier Award for her performance as Blanche DuBois in the West End revival of A Streetcar Named Desire. Previews begin at the Barrymore Theatre on October 1, with the official opening on November 3. ~Carlos Laron

Ok I get it broadway is fun. But in between this time Daniel and Rachel for that matter could of spoken to “certain” producers and be doing a fantastic movie called “The Witcher” which in my opinion Daniel should be cast for that role he would be PERFECT and fits not only the build but the look exactly. Feel like having a medievle priece under your belt?

Is heading to Broadway a new trend for these actors? Are they trying to prove that they’re not just capable acting on the big screen or is it to entice people to go to plays more? Whatever it is, I think it’s ridiculous
