While speaking to rottentomatoes.com recently about his latest Bond film, Quantum of Solace, Daniel Craig mentioned he would like to see Q return to the James Bond franchise. The character appeared in 17 previous Bond movies, but has not been included in the last two, in which Craig starred as the superspy. “We should give Q to a good actor,” Craig told the website. “We should find an actor and find out what they think and find a good story. If we just drop it in there and then go to the basement and there is Q with exploding bananas, it is not going to work. Q has been done and it has been done brilliantly and with great humor. We have to find a way to bring Q into it properly. I think we owe it to the franchise.”

maybe they can “find” a better movie this time. Curious what others thought of Quantum – I was not impressed, enjoyed Casino Royale more.

I thought the movie was great! I think it is important to watch Casino Royale just the day before as it is almost like a 2nd part; a direct continuation.
Q…..I think to do this right you need a little subtlety…..I think the star of the British version of the Office, Ricky Gervais. He could have a great friction with Bond!
