David Boreanaz admits infidelity

By Alexandra Heilbron on May 4, 2010 | 15 Comments

null, 40, who stars in the Fox series Bones, has admitted to People magazine that he’s been unfaithful to his wife, actress Jaime Bergman, with whom he has two small children — an eight-year-old son, Jaden and an eight-month-old daughter, Bardot. Boreanaz says he went public with this because a former mistress has threatened to tell all to media outlets. “Our marriage has been tainted with my infidelities,” he says. “I just want to be open and honest. I was irresponsible.” He explains, “I was associated with a woman who I was involved with and had a relationship with. She asked for money. I felt as though I was being blackmailed or there was some sort of extortion.” So far he’s luckier than Jesse James — Boreanaz’ wife has not yet left him and he says they’re trying to salvage their relationship for the sake of the children. “We’re working on our marriage,” he says. “We’re working on repairing what has been damaged so badly.”

    doesn’t look like it, mandee.

    sad world we live in.

Don’t feel down about it Mandee. In so many ways, celebrities don’t reflect reality, and yet we are bombarded with their stories which fools us into thinking they do.

Cheap bastard, just like David Letterman. Instead of paying someone to keep quiet, he just lets it come out in the open so his wife can be hurt and the status of his family is put in jeopardy. Letterman says he’s still working on saving his marriage from the damage he caused. I hope they both enjoy visiting their children on weekends, if they have time for them with their busy careers if and when their wives decide to give them the boot. Which is what they deserve.

andy, so you dont find it wrong that he cheated, only that he didnt offer a bribe to shut the woman up?

silver, the more i talk with people on here (especially in the sandra bullock article) the more i realize the world is a disgustingly pathetic place to live. people are terrible to one another and it does stress me out that people can be so closed minded and so hurtful about things that never should have mattered or happened in the first place. about this specific article, after all the articles ive read about women being cheated on, its telling me that men cant keep it in their friggen pants. its just sex, im sure its not hard to go without it for the few extra hours it may take to get home to your wife. why should we care about others when so clearly these others dont care about us?

What if the wife doesn’t put out?
And if its “just sex” why would cheating be such a big deal in the first place.

Other then that I agree that the world is most definetly disgusting. 90% of it at least.

No, it’s definitely wrong that he cheated. That was mistake #1. But he didn’t protect his wife from knowing that she’d been betrayed. That’s mistake #2. And if he was still having this affair while he was being threatened with blackmail, if it wasn’t a thing of the past and he had decided not to do this to his wife anymore, then she should dump his butt.

Ick. I can’t watch his show anymore. I used to really enjoy it but now I’m like, Oh, there’s that pig. It’s distracting.

  10. Pam • May 6, 2010 @ 10:34 AM

Oh, and to the writer above, if the wife doesn’t “put out” maybe he needs to brush up on his technique. But since they have two kids, and she was pregnant while he was with at least one of the other women, I’m guessing he’s just an unfaithful pig.

Mandee, I know you know it isn’t just men who cheat, even though there may be a higher percentage. But that doesn’t matter. I doubt in all cases it is “just sex” they are looking for when they cheat. There are probably many other reasons. But if that is the case, that they don’t have a committed, fulfilling relationship, then they should probably end it rather than cheat. And if it is “genetics that men can’t be faithful” then stay single.

However I still disagree that the world is a disgusting place to live. I stand by my belief that our view of the world is skewed by over reporting of negative things (including anything by a celeb) and under reporting of positive things, because the negative is “more interesting.”

at least he didn’t say he was a sex addict. if one more idiotic celebrity claims i am going to spew! sex addiction my @$$. if they need the rush they claim they get from sex, they need to take up sky diving….without a parachute!

I shake my head at ignorant comments..you can’t fix stupid. This is the second time I have read this swill (www.tribute.ca) and I see some dumb@%s using unfaithful pig. Did you know that the female pig is the unfaithful mate and sexual aggressor? So when you say unfaithful pig you are talking about the woman. Hmmm, David steps out with a woman who knows he is married with a kid and one on the way then blackmails him. Who is the real pig. Would that not make the woman a prostitute bc she ultimately had sex for money and is willing to fully destroy not a man, but a family. She’s such a good person that noone talks about her.
And Mandee, didn’t I educate you on Sandra in Halifax cheating on Matt. You say the world is “disgustingly pathetic place to live” then why don’t you get off the computer and get a life. You read sensationalized social media and cry “Oh the horror, what has happened to the world, its not fit to live in.” The only way your world would end is if the power went out and you could not logon and feel important by bashing other people in crisis on-line. Are you more upset over reading about other people living life or you not having one. I coin the term “virtual vicarious vidiot.”

  14. Amy • May 7, 2010 @ 7:55 PM

Charles, the difference is that the slut who slept with this pig never made a commitment to his wife. He did. Yes, the woman (or women) who slept with him are disgusting pigs as well, prostitutes, even if they did it because they wanted money. And the pig analogy, you could have left that out. it just made your whole comment ridiculous. Pigs (as in the animals with snouts) don’t get married. There’s a difference between animals and humans, although it seems that many men don’t think so, they’re happy to be animals with no conscience.

to mandee on May 5, 2010 9:27 PM yes, its still cheating even if it is “just sex” because being married clearly restricts you from having any type of intimate relationship with someone other than your partner.

Andy on May 6, 2010 9:27 AM just wanted to make sure you had your head on straight 😀 thanks for clearin that up.

silver on May 6, 2010 11:01 AM i agree with the first half of your comment 😀

Charles Darwin on May 7, 2010 7:39 PM youre a man, do you have a brain? are you capable of making grown up decisions yourself? you cant blame a woman because a man cant keep it in his pants. women can do what they want to seduce married men (and vise versa) but its the person thats MARRIED that is supposed to love their partner enough to say “no sorry im married” and walk away with dignity and self respect (as well as the respect from their partner and their relationship still in tact). you cant tell me a grown man has no control over who he has sex with, his wife or some random woman that he met one time. also, i have a life, i know the world is a disgusting place to live, and no you didnt tell me about sandra cheating on anyone. clearly YOU have no life you hypocrite, accusing me of doing the same thing you are in your comment to me. i dont spend my life on the computer, quite the contrary, i am out every single day for hours, i come on once or twice a day when i have nothing else to do. its better than sitting on my @ss and watching tv like the rest of the world. tell me, what soap opera did you spend the entire day watching, hypocrite?
