Demi Lovato kicks bath salts rappers off X Factor

Demi Lovato showed she has no problem standing her ground behind the judges’ table at The X Factor auditions in Greensboro, North Carolina this week. When an act promoted the use of drugs, rapping “I’m high on bath salts,” Lovato decided she had had enough. Doing a stint in rehab herself in 2011, Lovato knows all too well how serious addiction issues can be. She stopped the act, stating, “It’s really inappropriate to rap about drugs in front of kids,” before kicking them off of the stage. A family friendly show, her fellow judges as well as the audience and creator Simon Cowell, who is no stranger to stopping people mid-act, stood behind Lovato, applauding as she told the act to leave. The act will not be judged for the show, but it looks like Lovato is getting comfortable in her new position. Watch out contestants! ~Morgan Bates

That’s awesome! Now we need the rest of the people in the music industry to take the same stand! You wonder why so many kids are addicted to drugs?? Well let rappers/musicians “glorify it” in their lyrics and see the results! Not to mention the abuse to women in their lyrics! It’s Ridiculous and shameful!!

I agree with Mary’s comment about rap, it’s not music. I am behind Demi and her decision, well done.
100% sure the people hating on rap are white and probably hate black just as much. What about the violence and drugs heavy metal has promoted since the 70s? yet Mary and RW claim they like ALL forms of music except rap. I am willing to bet that reggae and RnB are probably off your list or near the bottom also while country (promotes wallowing in depression)and rock (guilty of theft from early soul and black rock and roll) are probably at the top of your list. The people behind each genre influences your like or dislike more than anything so simply say you hate anything predominantly black and stop being a hypocrite
Wow, the race card gets pulled…People are allowed to hate on rap but your comment was actually the racist one…Guess what I hate rap not because I hate black people, I have friends of every race and creed, so don’t even pull that BS towards me. Also I know black people who hate it too, are they racist???
Maybe when posting their comments heavy metal slipped their mind but of course you jump to the race conclusion. My group of friends admit that white people are not the most racist and they also admit it does get thrown in our faces on a regular basis! I hate that because I’m white I’m automatically regarded as a racist!
Good for Demi, it’s a family show and there is a lot of controversy behind “Bath salts” at this time so they should’ve thought about it
before taking the stage and spewing stupidity!
