Dexter star Michael C. Hall‘s wife, Jennifer Carpenter, 31, who plays his sister Debra on the show, filed for divorce this week and here’s why: he’s been cheating on her — and it began on the set of their show. His new love interest on the show is Julia Stiles, 29, and the two have apparently been carrying on an affair since October according to gossip site Lainey Gossip, who wrote: “Their chemistry was so crazy and so evident to everyone that writer and producers, seeing it play out on set, actually cranked up their sex scenes to capture it for show… Eventually the two fell in love.” Showbiz Spy reports that Hall, 39, seems fine, despite his marriage being over and the impossibly awkward situation on set as he works with both his new love and his wife. A source told the gossip site that earlier this week: “Michael was checking out Julia’s butt, He was fixated. He seemed fine though. You would never tell his marriage had just collapsed.” Some Dexter fans may not be happy about the news especially since Hall was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year and is now in remission, with his wife having supported him throughout the illness. ~Chantelle Rodrigo

Although what he did was horrible I always wonder when i hear things like this how bad things were behind closed doors.
Typical…you have everything and it is not enough…what he had with Jennifer was not love…you could not do that to someone you love, that is the definition of love…that person is THE one…there is no need to look elsewhere…why would you if you have a TRUE love…the guy is a great actor but an asshole…and that hair!!! give me a break, it looks like a cheap rug on the show…fire the hairdresser…please! One of the best shows on TV though…what about Julia…what is her problem, did she not know he was married…that makes him an asshole and her a skanky ho…Ho Ho Ho. Jennifer, if you are ever in Canada, stop by, I will show you how a gentleman treats a lady…I would start with respect…

this is sad news, although im not sure i would believe what someone heard from “gossip”. unless one, or both of them fully admit that he actually cheated on his wife, i wont believe it. i love the show dexter and i think all the characters mesh really well together. i was saddened by the season finale!!!

We all love Dexter as the character and not Michael C Hall as the real person, so what he does away from the set is his business whether we agree with it or not. He plays the role well and even though I think he is a jerk for cheating on his wife, I still think Dexter is the best show on TV and I will continue to watch.

I REALLY do not think it’s the best show on TV and frankly I think it’s slow and not very well acted. And I certainly do not agree with him and Stiles doing that behind his wife and co-workers back! That’s terrible. Now it can ruin that show even more if she leaves. Either way it’s just another Hollywood break up. It’s an epidemic down south and in that biz. It’s like they sign contracts to ensure it happens at a certain time frame. Plus there isn’t much talk of Dexter anymore, so controvery might help bring people back to watching the show incase they think this is the beginning of the end.
New love my ass, new lust would be a better word for the pair of them. Seeing as Michael is the star his wife will probably lose her life soon and then her job!

C-Dub, you don’t know a good series if it hit you in the face. Dexter is one of the BEST series out there, if not THE BEST! As for his personal life, I never knew what he saw in his wife. She’s definitely not pretty, although I must admit looks aren’t everything. They just don’t look good together. He’s extremely handsome and has a great sense of humor as seen on talk shows. I love him and I love the show!

Maybe that’s why Hall seems “fine” during the so called break-up.
I know 1 thing and that is I’ll never go see Ms Stiles movies again. Even if one of my most fav. actor(s)/actress(es) are in them. It goes to show that when some actors/actresses act in heart-warming movies, it doesn’t affect them in real life very much or if at all!

What a slimmy thing to do to your wife, especially since she stood by him when he was sick, nice payback for her doing that, he runs around on her. I fully think that what goes around comes around so he will eventually get his. NEVER been a big Julia Stiles fan, now I know why!!! Never watched the show, didn’t think it would be my cup of tea, so I can’t comment on the show quality. Guess it’ll never happen now.

Everyone seems quick to demonize Michael with absolutely no evidence of guilt. The only parties that know the truth are Julia and Michael. Julia has categorically denied any involvement with Michael.
Julia is very beautiful and you can’t blame Michael for a wandering eye, but that is certainly not proof of an affair.
I’ll reserve judgment until I see some actual proof.
